About the position

The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator at Effingham Hospital, Inc. is responsible for managing the design, planning, development, implementation, and execution of the hospital's marketing strategies and special events. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, creativity, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The coordinator will collaborate with external partners to create marketing materials, manage social media presence, and coordinate various promotional activities and events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and analyze marketing strategies and campaigns to engage various audiences and generate volume growth in all EHS service lines.
  • Create marketing materials such as brochures, pamphlets, flyers, and online advertisements in collaboration with Spyhop.
  • Develop and execute print and digital communications for various target audiences in collaboration with Spyhop.
  • Manage graphics and design projects to ensure consistency of messaging and branding guidelines in collaboration with Spyhop.
  • Develop content and track analytics for social media platforms, following best practices to maximize reach and engagement in collaboration with Spyhop.
  • Manage and maintain the company's online presence, including website, emails, social media, and blogs, and handle inquiries to increase engagement and awareness.
  • Facilitate advertising, press releases, and media partnerships in collaboration with Spyhop.
  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities such as galas, trade shows, conferences, and corporate events, including logistics like booking venues and managing guest lists.
  • Coordinate event entertainment, including booking travel arrangements and negotiating fees.
  • Evaluate competitive health care services and community needs to identify opportunities for program growth.
  • Create and propose budgets for events and monitor spending throughout the planning process.
  • Support EHS ventures that positively impact marketing and business development, such as Lunch and Learns and public speaking engagements.
  • Provide support for EHS Foundation fundraising events with community partners as needed.
  • Delegate event planning tasks to other staff members and employee resource groups as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in marketing, social media management, and event planning.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, inclusive team environment with a community-centered philosophy.
