About the position

The Marketing and Underwriting Specialist at Great American Professional Risk Brokers, Inc. is responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining a profitable book of excess casualty and umbrella business. This role combines underwriting expertise with marketing skills to analyze financial and risk data, identify growth opportunities, and build strong relationships with distribution partners. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial and risk data of proposed insureds to identify hazards and exposures.
• Identifies growth opportunities with key distribution partners.
• Determines appropriate recommendations subject to management and underwriting guidelines.
• Develops and maintains effective business relationships with internal and external customers to attract and retain profitable business.
• Ensures the delivery, follow-up, and servicing requirements of all quotes on new and renewal accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior underwriting experience in casualty, umbrella or excess lines is required.
• Experience establishing and building strong relationships with agents and brokers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
