About the position

The Marketing Assistant at Tantor Media is an entry-level position focused on providing administrative support for marketing efforts within the publishing division. The role involves preparing marketing materials, assisting in publicity efforts, and supporting various production departments. Responsibilities

  • Preparing marketing materials for all company imprints.
  • Creating sell sheets for title information pages.
  • Collecting and distributing publicity, reviews, and media hits.
  • Assisting the Marketing Department in creating materials for sales and advertising.
  • Providing administrative support for other key production departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience in spreadsheet creation, data gathering, and fact checking.
  • Highly detailed and organized multitasker.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with a desire to meet and exceed goals.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with internal departments and external contacts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with databases, including Microsoft Access.
  • Publishing and/or audiobook production experience.
  • Interest in audiobooks and books.
