The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including faculty, corporate partners, and prospective students, to create impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with the target audience. In this role, the Marketing Associate will plan, develop, and implement innovative marketing and advertising strategies designed to boost recruitment and visibility for the MIE programs. This includes creating a distinct brand identity for the graduate programs, identifying collaborative partnership opportunities with corporate stakeholders, and conducting recruitment presentations to attract potential students currently employed in related fields. The position also involves designing and preparing various marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, advertisements, and web content, ensuring that all communications effectively convey the value of the MIE programs. Additionally, the Marketing Associate will analyze and report on economic and financial factors that may impact recruitment and enrollment, providing expert feedback to the MIE Department Head. Tracking the effectiveness of marketing strategies and branding initiatives will be crucial, as will monitoring the progress of various marketing initiatives. The role also includes overseeing the administrative functions related to the marketing and communications budget and training staff responsible for posting content to the university's website. The Marketing Associate will be expected to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the MIE department's marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and implement marketing and advertising strategies to increase recruitment and visibility for Masters of Energy Engineering Programs.
  • Plan and implement marketing strategy for MIE program to increase enrollment.
  • Create a brand for MIE graduate programs.
  • Identify and cultivate collaborative partnership opportunities with corporate stakeholders.
  • Develop and conduct recruitment presentations at those corporations to attract potential students that are employed in a related field.
  • Design, prepare and write newsletters, brochures, advertisements, web content and major announcements related to MIE's programs.
  • Identify and manage sources of communication to disseminate marketing information to potential students.
  • Analyze, report, and provide expert feedback to the MIE Department Head on current or potential economic and financial factors that may affect recruitment and enrollment into MIE's programs.
  • Track marketing strategy and branding initiatives to measure recruitment and enrollment.
  • Monitor and assess progress of marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee the administrative functions that are responsible for the marketing and communications budget and training of staff that post content to the website.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.
  • Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
