About the position

H Mart, the largest Asian supermarket chain in America, is seeking a Marketing Associate/Coordinator who is bilingual in Korean and English (or Chinese). This position is based in Lyndhurst, NJ, and is integral to our mission of enriching lives with our Asian heritage, food, and culture. The Marketing Associate/Coordinator will work cross-functionally with various internal departments, organizations, and media to support our marketing initiatives and enhance customer engagement. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating customer service-related issues, managing marketing materials for store promotions, and supporting membership-related procedures. The Marketing Associate/Coordinator will also assist in media contracts, grand opening events, and the creation of press releases and marketing articles. This position requires a strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to adapt to a multi-functional marketing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A minimum of one year of marketing experience is preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. The role is full-time, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and offers a range of benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

  • Support on customer service/relationship platform, email, phone, and etc. to coordinate on customer service related issues with internal departments, and understand customer's needs.
  • Coordinate on various marketing materials (digital signage, posters, SNS promotions, Banners and etc.) on store promotions and sales.
  • Support membership related procedures and duties.
  • Assist media contracts and correlated relationships.
  • Support grand opening event and related work arrangements.
  • Assist press release and other articles for brand marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 1 year+ of marketing experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, time management, planning and problem solving skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work in an environment with time sensitive deadlines.
  • Professional in Marketing certificate is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual in Korean and English is a MUST (Fluency is a plus).

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Chinese is a plus.
  • Experience in digital marketing or social media management.
