About the position

The Marketing Audience General Manager-Executive Director will play a pivotal role within the centralized JPMC marketing organization, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Transformation. This position is integral to supporting the Chase, J.P. Morgan, and corporate brands. As part of the Performance Marketing transformation team, the individual will be responsible for understanding the current marketing, product, and data ecosystems, as well as the target state requirements across key functions and lines of business (LOBs). The goal is to guide the audience modernization efforts effectively. In this role, you will be tasked with developing both an interim and target state audience strategy that not only enhances customer experiences but also simplifies the employee experience. Collaboration with leaders across the firm will be essential to create initiatives and roadmaps that encompass data, personalization, optimization, execution, and marketing technology (Martech). This will drive the realization of the firm's future state marketing vision, which is centered around being customer-obsessed. Key responsibilities include leading the Marketing Audience Modernization across Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) by partnering with Data & Analytics (D&A), Line of Business Marketing Teams (LOB MT), Performance Marketing, Finance, Product, and Technology. You will establish a shared omni-channel vision for defining, managing, and executing marketing audiences across various platforms, channels, and products. Additionally, you will develop a strategic and executable plan that includes timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies for creating data features and foundational populations across Marketing LOBs to achieve the target state for Audience Definition and Management. The role also involves collaborating with D&A Audience Management and Performance Marketing Execution to develop processes and controls that support the target state Audience Definition and Management. This includes identifying, rationalizing, and prioritizing capabilities necessary for achieving target state processes and controls in campaign workflow solutions. You will also be responsible for developing an interim strategy for managing audiences for existing campaigns while working towards the target state solution, addressing obstacles that may hinder progress, and establishing a framework to evaluate models used for generating and refining marketing audiences. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain the business case for Audience Modernization efforts, ensuring that the economic value ascribed to key capabilities is realized. A communication plan for audience modernization will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Marketing Audience Modernization across CCB by partnering with Data & Analytics, Line of Business Marketing Teams, Performance Marketing, Finance, Product, and Technology.
  • Establish a shared omni-channel vision for defining, managing, and executing marketing audiences across platforms, channels, and products.
  • Develop a strategic and executable plan, including timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies for creating data features and foundational populations across Marketing LOBs.
  • Partner with D&A Audience Management and Performance Marketing Execution to develop processes and controls to support target state Audience Definition and Management.
  • Assist in identifying, rationalizing, and prioritizing capabilities to achieve target state processes and controls in campaign workflow solutions.
  • Develop interim strategy for managing audiences for existing campaigns while working towards the target state solution.
  • Identify and propose solutions for obstacles that currently inhibit achieving the target state.
  • Establish a framework to evaluate models used to generate and refine marketing audiences.
  • Develop a strategic plan for consumption of model outputs to achieve improved business intelligence in targeting audiences.
  • Maintain the business case for Audience Modernization efforts, ensuring economic value is driven from key capabilities.
  • Develop and execute a communication plan for audience modernization.

Requirements

  • 10 years of marketing or equivalent experience, with expertise in marketing, product, and/or innovation.
  • Proven ability and experience developing comprehensive transformation vision and strategic plan, and executing to deliver results.
  • Proven people leader with demonstrated ability to promote strong team culture, set clear goals, delegate, and efficiently organize resources and workstreams.
  • Ability to build relationships and use influence effectively.
  • High energy, solutions-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proven executive-level written and verbal communications skills and presence with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
