About the position

Join Land O'Lakes, Inc. as a Marketing Brand Management MBA Intern and help us bring food from farmer to fork while building vibrant communities along the way. As a global, Fortune 250 company and a farmer-owned cooperative, we prioritize working for one another rather than Wall Street. Our organization operates some of the most respected brands in agribusiness and food production, including LAND O LAKES Dairy Foods, Vermont Creamery, Purina Animal Nutrition, WinField United Crop Inputs, and TruterraTM Sustainability. As an intern, you will be part of a team dedicated to addressing some of the most pressing issues in the world today through innovation, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset. This internship will be based in Arden Hills, MN, and will last approximately 10 weeks, from June to August 2025, with relocation assistance provided. During your summer internship, you will gain hands-on experience across various aspects of our Dairy Foods or Enterprise Marketing teams. In the Dairy Foods segment, you will work with a national dairy brand that enjoys high recognition across key dairy product categories, including Kozy Shack refrigerated desserts and Vermont Creamery specialty dairy. Interns will join a retail, foodservice, or ingredients business team. In the Enterprise Marketing segment, you will drive growth through brand and marketing strategy, activation, and communication across the Land O'Lakes enterprise, supporting Dairy Foods, Purina Animal Nutrition, Truterra, and/or the Land O'Lakes Enterprise. You will be assigned real-world, business-critical projects that will challenge your strategic thinking, data analysis, and ability to deliver actionable recommendations to our business leadership. Potential projects may include market opportunity assessments, consumer and customer insights, marketing mix strategies, pricing, distribution, promotions, trade strategies, competitive analysis, new product or packaging development, brand strategy, or social strategy activation. This internship serves as a pipeline for our full-time Associate Marketing Manager Rotational Program in Dairy Foods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in various aspects of Dairy Foods or Enterprise Marketing teams.
  • Participate in real-world, business-critical projects.
  • Conduct market opportunity assessments and consumer insights analysis.
  • Develop marketing mix strategies and pricing recommendations.
  • Support distribution and promotional strategies.
  • Perform competitive analysis and new product development.
  • Contribute to brand strategy and social strategy activation.

Requirements

  • Current first-year MBA student with an expected graduation date of Spring or Summer 2026.
  • Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong interest in brand management, general management, and/or marketing.
  • Some experience in consumer-packaged goods, food, or agricultural industries.
