The Marketing and Business Development Senior Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility and marketability of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, particularly within the New York office. This position is designed for a professional who will collaborate closely with the MBD leadership team, partners, practice group leaders, and other office leaders to implement various business development projects and marketing initiatives. The specialist will be responsible for executing strategies that highlight the firm's strengths and capabilities, thereby driving client engagement and business growth. In this role, the Senior Specialist will provide strategic support to both litigation and corporate practice groups. This includes a range of activities such as targeted client outreach, organizing webinars, managing sponsorships, producing podcasts, and overseeing directory submissions. The position also involves preparing high-quality pitches, proposals, and responses to RFPs, which necessitates thorough research on the firm’s and partners’ experiences, as well as the ability to articulate key messages and differentiators effectively. The Senior Specialist will administer both short- and long-term business development initiatives, focusing on improving processes and efficiencies within the team. This includes coordinating and drafting submissions for prestigious directories and awards, such as Chambers and Legal 500, and conducting targeted research and competitive analysis to bolster business development efforts. Maintaining various tracking systems and databases, including a pitch tracker and experience database, is also a critical component of this role. Teamwork is essential, and the individual must establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across departments, attorneys, and clients to ensure the success of the initiatives undertaken.
