About The Position

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Executive (AE) is a key role focused on engaging with State and Local Government prospects and customers. This position requires a subject matter expert who can effectively evangelize marketing platform solutions, driving personalized customer journeys across various channels. The AE will work both independently and as part of a broader account team, generating self-driven sales opportunities and managing the entire sales cycle for Salesforce's Marketing technology stack.

Requirements

• 10+ years of full cycle Enterprise software or technology sales experience.
• Experience selling Marketing technology is a plus.
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Proven track record in account management, preferably selling to State and Local, and/or Education.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as required.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert on how State and Local Government leverage Salesforce Marketing solutions.
• Empower and enable the broader Account team on all Salesforce Marketing technology.
• Collaborate with Account and Territory teams to identify target accounts.
• Create and drive revenue within a specified region and/or list of named accounts.
• Generate business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and prospecting.
• Own the sales cycle for the entire Salesforce Marketing technology stack, including lead generation, deal strategy, pricing, and assistance with deal closure.
• Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas.
• Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking and associations.
• Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention.
