About the position

The Marketing & Communication Coordinator at Haywood Regional Medical Center plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and professionalism of all printed and digital materials associated with the hospital's branding and communication efforts. This position is responsible for writing and editing various types of content, including press releases, brochures, and advertising copy, to effectively convey the hospital's message to the community and stakeholders. The coordinator will maintain the necessary quantities of collateral materials and ensure that online vendors are updated with current print-ready artwork, which is essential for maintaining a consistent brand image. In addition to content creation, the coordinator will assist in procuring content for a monthly newsletter and other communication vehicles as assigned. This includes maintaining in-house communication channels such as flyers, bulletin boards, and signage, which are vital for internal communication within the hospital. The role also involves creating basic products like forms, reports, and presentations using various computer software tools, ensuring that all materials are professional and brand-appropriate. Monitoring and updating the hospital's website content is another key responsibility. The coordinator will collaborate with hospital and clinic staff, as well as the IT team, to develop and maintain relevant website content. This includes managing the 'Find a Doctor' section of the website and ensuring that provider information on the Physician Referral Line (PRL) is accurate and up-to-date. Regular audits of the PRL and service listings will also be part of the coordinator's duties. Furthermore, the Marketing & Communication Coordinator will assist in planning hospital and community events, which involves coordinating required personnel, collateral materials, IT support for equipment, facilities support for setup, catering, promotional giveaways, and related public relations efforts. This position serves as the primary contact for physician candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for potential hires.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of all printed and digital materials.
