About the position

The Marketing & Communication Coordinator at Haywood Regional Medical Center is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and professionalism of all printed and digital materials. This role involves writing, editing, and maintaining various communication channels, as well as assisting in the planning of hospital and community events.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of all printed and digital materials.
• Provide writing and editing for press releases, brochures, advertising copy, etc.
• Maintain needed quantities of collateral and update online vendors with current print-ready art.
• Procure content for and create a monthly newsletter and other communication vehicles as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of in-house communication channels such as flyers, bulletin boards, and signage.
• Create basic products such as forms, reports, and presentations using computer software.
• Monitor hospital website content and work with staff to develop and maintain it with IT assistance.
• Assist with maintaining the 'Find a Doctor' section of the website and provider information on the Physician Referral Line (PRL).
• Assist with audits of the PRL and service listings.
• Maintain brand-appropriate and professional appearance for all collateral, displays, signage, and online presence.
• Assist with planning of hospital and community events, including required personnel, collateral, IT support, facilities support, catering, promotional giveaways, and related PR.
• Serve as primary contact for physician candidates throughout the recruitment process.

Requirements

• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Proficiency in computer software for creating reports and presentations.
• Experience in maintaining website content.
• Ability to assist in event planning and coordination.
