About the position

Under the general direction of the Primary Information Officer, the Marketing Communication Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating and implementing marketing and communication strategies that promote the Jacksonville Transportation Authority's (JTA) services and initiatives. This position is essential for ensuring that marketing projects are executed effectively and align with the organization's goals. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, skilled communicator with a passion for public transportation and community engagement. The coordinator will manage and coordinate marketing and communications projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This includes assisting in the development and editing of content for various platforms, such as social media, the JTA website, press releases, and other marketing materials. The role also involves supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns, tracking their performance, and reporting on their effectiveness. Additionally, the coordinator will help organize and coordinate JTA-sponsored events, including public outreach and community engagement activities. Liaising with internal teams, external partners, and vendors will be crucial to ensure cohesive communication and marketing efforts. Conducting market research and analyzing trends will support strategic marketing decisions, while maintaining and promoting JTA's brand identity across all communication channels will be a key responsibility. Administrative support, including scheduling, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining project documentation, will also be part of the role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role.

  • Knowledge of the public transportation industry is a plus
