The Caterpillar Marine marketing team is seeking a highly strategic and organized individual to take global lead of the strategic direction, marketing plan development and execution for the overall services and energy transition messaging for Caterpillar Marine. Expertise in developing the segment strategy and implementation of campaign management will be central to this role. As a Marketing Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and executing the marketing communications plan based on the global marine segments and overall business strategy. This role is supported by senior staff to help analyze business trends, customer needs and competitive activities to develop a marketing communications plan to support worldwide business development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee Omni Channel marketing & communications strategy, media & communication plans, timelines, and budgets for Caterpillar Marine's focus on Services & Energy Transition messaging.
  • Identify targeted audiences and channels. Develop, coordinate, and implement targeted content and storyline through external communications channels and materials.
  • Support Caterpillar Marine's go-to-market strategy for innovations by highlighting the unique value proposition.
  • Position Caterpillar Marine as thought leader with a reputation for delivering real, tangible customer value.
  • Cooperate closely with the corporate MarCom team and act as main global point of contact for services and energy transition focus areas globally.
  • Ensure effective cascade across the organization through close collaboration with the business, international dealerships, and Caterpillar's key customers.
  • Establish joint marketing activities with key marine dealers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates experience engendering collaborative processes that lead to problem solving and the achievement of business goals.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Knowledge of the importance of 'big picture' thinking and planning.
  • Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques.
