About the position

The Marketing & Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility and effectiveness of the company's internal and external communications. This position is crucial for aligning marketing strategies with the corporate strategy and company goals, ensuring that all communications resonate with both employees and community partners. The manager will be responsible for conducting thorough market research based on the client’s strategic plan and initiatives, which will inform the development and implementation of marketing campaigns aimed at ensuring the profitability of various business lines. In addition to overseeing internal communications strategies that support key company initiatives and employee-focused campaigns, the Marketing & Communications Manager will collaborate with leadership to craft messaging that continually supports and evaluates employee communication needs. The role requires the analysis, development, and execution of social media strategies across the most effective platforms, as well as the management of internal and external engagement surveys. The manager will create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive communications strategy, distributing regular metrics reports to key internal stakeholders regarding employee engagement, online marketing effectiveness, and areas for communication improvement. This position also involves adjusting and maintaining bi-annual marketing strategies, managing outside marketing and communications vendors, and overseeing all branding, marketing, and communication activities. The role requires a proactive approach to developing and maintaining marketing strategies that align with client growth, mission, and values, as well as directing leadership town halls and maintaining advertising placement records. The Marketing & Communications Manager will also be responsible for creating informative press releases, newsletters, and related marketing materials, while maintaining knowledge of market trends to identify needs for new marketing campaigns. This position is not a remote opportunity and requires a strong commitment to the company's goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to recommend and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Plan and oversee internal communications strategy in support of key company initiatives.
  • Collaborate in the development of new business lines to support the company's strategic plan.
  • Work with leadership to craft messaging for employee communication needs.
  • Analyze, develop, and execute social media strategies across effective platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver internal and external engagement surveys.
  • Create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive communications strategy.
  • Distribute metrics reports related to employee engagement and marketing effectiveness.
  • Adjust and maintain bi-annual marketing strategy with key stakeholders.
  • Examine, select, and manage outside marketing and communications vendors.
  • Oversee and manage all branding, marketing, and communication activity.
  • Develop and adjust marketing strategies based on client growth and values.
  • Direct leadership town halls and manage event logistics.
  • Maintain advertising placement records and develop copy and design for ad placements.
  • Coordinate writing and posting of employee announcements on the intranet.
  • Write and publish internal communications via email and other methods.
  • Coordinate design and placement of all advertising including print and digital.
  • Create press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends to identify needs for new marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Must have Bank and/or Financial Services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Public Relations, or Journalism, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in a communications, marketing, or PR role.
  • Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Knowledgeable in a wide range of marketing software applications.
  • Capability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Robust leadership skills.
