About the position

The Marketing & Communications Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and effectiveness of the company's internal and external communications. This position requires a strong background in the banking and financial services sector, as the manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that align with the company's strategic goals. The role involves conducting market research to inform marketing campaigns, overseeing internal communications, and collaborating with leadership to craft messaging that meets employee communication needs. The manager will also analyze and execute social media strategies, manage engagement surveys, and oversee all branding and marketing activities. This position is not remote, and the manager will be expected to work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to recommend and implement marketing campaigns that ensure profitability of business lines.
  • Plan and oversee internal communications strategy in support of key company initiatives and employee-focused campaigns.
  • Collaborate in the development of new business lines to support the company's strategic plan as directed.
  • Work with leadership to craft messaging to support and evaluate employee communication needs and opportunities.
  • Analyze, develop, and execute social media strategies across effective platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver internal and external engagement surveys with key stakeholders.
  • Create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive communications strategy for internal and external use.
  • Distribute metrics reports to key internal stakeholders regarding employee engagement, online marketing effectiveness, and communication improvement areas.
  • Adjust and maintain bi-annual marketing strategy with key stakeholders.
  • Examine, select, and manage outside marketing and communications vendors.
  • Oversee and manage all branding, marketing, and communication activities.
  • Develop and adjust marketing strategies based on client growth, mission, and values.
  • Direct leadership town halls, including presentation development and event logistics in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain advertising placement records and develop copy, design, and artwork for ad placements.
  • Coordinate writing and posting of employee announcements on the intranet and document library.
  • Write and publish internal communications via email and other distribution methods.
  • Coordinate design and placement of all advertising including print, outdoor, radio, television, and direct mail.
  • Create press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and developments to identify needs for new marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Must have Bank and/or Financial Services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Public Relations, Journalism, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in a communications, marketing, or PR role.
  • Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Knowledgeable in a wide range of marketing software applications.
  • Capability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Robust leadership skills.
