In this role, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, collaborating with leadership to create marketing strategies that align with organizational goals. The execution of marketing campaigns will be a key focus, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time and within budget while achieving desired outcomes. Content creation is another essential function, requiring collaboration with in-house designers and copywriters, as well as external vendors, to develop engaging materials for various channels such as websites, social media, email newsletters, and press releases. The manager will also be tasked with stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining relationships to solicit input and report on results. Project management skills are crucial, as the role involves coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of marketing projects, including seasonal sales and events. Data and performance reporting will be a regular part of the job, monitoring campaign metrics and providing insights for improvement. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to develop marketing and communications strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create engaging content for various marketing channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop marketing plans and report on results.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors for smooth execution of marketing projects.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Uphold and reinforce the organization's brand guidelines across all marketing materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Assist in the development and management of the marketing budget.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, project management, or event production.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and communications, preferably with a retail focus.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with diverse groups and nonprofits with multiple community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing channels and tools, including social media and analytics tools.
  • Creative mindset with strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
