About the position

The Marketing Content/Communications Specialist at Dart Bank is responsible for leading communication initiatives and crafting engaging content across various channels to support business objectives and effectively communicate the brand message. This role involves managing project lifecycles for initiatives such as the annual report, shareholder meetings, and marketing and communication campaigns. The specialist will plan, research, produce, publish, and promote content through customer-centric storytelling, collaborating with internal teams and external parties as a project management stakeholder to guide communications and public relations strategies. As a brand steward, the specialist ensures consistency in the brand's voice, tone, storytelling, and identity across all marketing and communications efforts. Additionally, the specialist will assist the Marketing Director with all aspects of marketing the bank. Key responsibilities include crafting clear and concise messages that effectively communicate Dart Bank's value proposition and key product/service features. The specialist will write, edit, review, and ensure consistency of messaging across multiple platforms, including website content, lender bios, annual reports, blog posts, email campaigns, press releases, advertisements, and brochures, as well as for internal communication. The role also involves developing and implementing communication plans and strategies, proactively identifying engaging stories connected to strategic goals, and building relationships with media members. The specialist will partner with business units to understand buyer personas and pain points, ensuring all copy adheres to brand and regulatory guidelines while maintaining a consistent tone across different channels. The position requires staying up to date with current communication trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation. The specialist will monitor the performance of communication tactics, analyze data to increase engagement, and compile monthly marketing reports and annual scorecards. The role also includes engaging with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and communication campaigns, performing various marketing duties as assigned, and providing support in handling administrative details to ensure smooth operations. The specialist must adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Responsibilities

  • Craft clear and concise messages that effectively communicate Dart Bank's value proposition and key product/service features.
  • Write, edit, review, and ensure consistency of messaging across multiple platforms, including website content, lender bios, annual reports, blog posts, email campaigns, press releases, advertisements, and brochures.
  • Develop and implement communication plans and strategies, including distributing messages through various channels.
  • Proactively identify engaging stories and messages connected to strategic goals.
  • Identify PR opportunities and create/distribute PR materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with members of the media.
  • Partner with business units on content ideas and to understand buyer personas and pain points.
  • Write and apply for industry awards and recognition.
  • Ensure all copy is accurate, adheres to brand guidelines and regulatory guidelines, and maintains a consistent tone across different channels.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of content guidance documents, including the style guide, image guidelines, audience personas, and others as needed.
  • Stay up to date with current and emerging communication trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure message accuracy.
  • Monitor performance of communication tactics and analyze data to increase engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the Bank's presence and present communication ideas to management.
  • Provide detailed reporting about communication campaigns and tactics.
  • Compile monthly marketing report and annual scorecard.
  • Engage with the marketing team on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Perform various marketing duties as assigned.
  • Provide support in handling administrative details and duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred or enrolled in a degree program in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of similar or related experience.
  • A minimum of two years in digital content strategy and development.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Proficient in WordPress or other content management systems.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM.
  • Direct experience with WordPress and/or similar content management platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools and software.
