About the position

The Marketing & Content Creation Contractor will play a crucial role in enhancing awareness and engagement for South Park BID's neighborhood programs and events. This position involves collaborating with the team to create compelling marketing materials, manage social media content, and execute various marketing campaigns, all aimed at promoting the vibrant community of South Park.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce digital/print marketing collateral using templates and adhering to brand guidelines
  • Develop and implement social media and e-communication strategies for BID programs
  • Create website copy and update visuals on the website using new brand guidelines
  • Develop social media content (graphics, videos) highlighting South Park events and neighborhood activities
  • Coordinate and produce mailings, e-blasts, newsletters, and additional marketing campaigns
  • Capture social media content and create graphics and videos around South Park events and programming
  • Conduct regular social media analytics and reporting to track campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements

Requirements

  • 2+ years in marketing, content creation, or a related field; preferably in a community, tourism, business improvement district or non-profit setting
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and graphic design tools
  • Familiarity with basic video editing, proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus
  • Experience with social media platforms, scheduling software (Later, Planoly) and analytics
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills for digital and print channels
  • Photography and video editing skills preferred
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Flodesk)
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for website and social content
  • Basic photography and videography skills for capturing local events and neighborhood highlights
  • Knowledge of community-building strategies, with a creative approach to connecting with diverse audiences on social media
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) for website updates a plus
