About the position

The Marketing Content Manager will play a crucial role in creating, editing, and curating content for both internal and external audiences of a nonprofit organization. This position involves managing various print and digital projects, overseeing digital marketing campaigns, and maintaining the organization's website and social media channels. The role is designed for an experienced professional who can effectively communicate the nonprofit's mission and engage with stakeholders through compelling storytelling and strategic content management.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and curate content across internal sharing platforms and for external media and partners.
  • Serve as managing editor for print and digital projects, including impact reports and donor publications.
  • Onboard wish alums and family members into the Wish It Forward program by sharing their stories and connecting them with opportunities.
  • Share storytelling and collateral with the National Office and serve as chapter liaison on joint projects.
  • Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including creating timelines, plans, and creative content, and report on performance.
  • Produce and distribute all chapter email communications and manage email lists with the database team and National Office.
  • Maintain the website by auditing content, adding new pages, and tracking metrics using Google Analytics.
  • Assist with digital advertising campaigns by contributing content and tracking conversions.
  • Oversee social media channels, including editing posts, contributing content, and tracking KPIs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in marketing, communications, journalism, and/or PR.
  • BA or equivalent degree.
  • Nonprofit storytelling experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with a nationally recognized brand preferred.
  • Experience with marketing KPIs, including email performance, web analytics, digital advertising, and social media metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of mass email tools and production; experience with Marketing Cloud a plus.
  • Experience with digital advertising including Meta and Google ads preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
