About the position

As the Marketing Content Team Leader at Fisher Investments, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the messaging strategy and content development for our in-house creative agency. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Global Marketing Content, your primary responsibility will be to lead a talented team of creative copywriters. You will oversee the creation of compelling advertisements and branded content across various platforms, including digital, print, video, radio, and email, targeting both U.S. and international audiences. Your expertise in writing, editing, and messaging strategy will be crucial in ensuring that our content resonates with prospective clients and aligns with our overall marketing objectives. In this role, you will manage a diverse range of content marketing projects, from whitepapers and landing pages to digital ad campaigns and physical mail. You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and marketing strategists to produce high-quality creative assets that meet the needs of our clients. By leveraging marketing performance data and consumer research, you will guide your team in developing effective messaging strategies that drive lead generation and enhance brand visibility. Your leadership will also involve coaching team members to refine their writing skills and adopt new technologies that improve collaboration and efficiency. The Marketing Content Team Leader position is not just about managing projects; it’s about fostering a culture of creativity and excellence within the team. You will be the go-to person for creative messaging and content strategy, ensuring that all deliverables adhere to Fisher's style guide and effectively communicate our value proposition to clients. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of marketing copywriters, coordinating group-wide programs and working with team members one-on-one to develop new skills and deepen writing expertise.
  • Oversee, edit, and write for a variety of content marketing projects including whitepapers, landing pages, online calculators, digital experiences, digital ad campaigns, video, physical mail, print ads, audio and more.
  • Partner with Global Marketing teams from planning to execution to ensure the team's workflow aligns with global marketing priorities and strategy.
  • Collaborate with US and international teams, designers and external creative agencies to develop fresh marketing materials and scale creative production across the globe.
  • Use marketing performance data and consumer research to understand what messaging works in market and regularly communicate it with writers and leadership.
  • Ensure team members and important partners know how to apply our style guide, so all deliverables fit Fisher's messaging strategy and speak to our prospective client's needs.
  • Lead team in adopting technology and process improvements to support writing quality, collaboration across teams and speed to market, including generative AI, collaboration software, asset management systems, and more.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' managing teams (ideally writing teams), coaching and working with employees to develop skills.
  • 5+ years' professional writing and editing experience in Marketing or Finance (ideally both!).
  • Experience in marketing and writing for or working in Financial Services, ideally investing.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial services/investing concepts and vocabulary.
  • Experience comfortably and effectively tailoring communications to team members, partners, management teams and executive leadership.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Great attention to detail, analytical and creative.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with marketing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, generative AI and Bynder.
