About the position

The Marketing Content Manager will develop and execute content strategies to position LI-COR as a leader in greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring and sustainability. This role focuses on creating engaging and persuasive content across various platforms, including blogs, social media, and email campaigns, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align messaging with user personas and product positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the overall content marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's brand and growth goals.
  • Produce and manage high-quality, SEO-optimized external content, including blog posts, case studies, press releases, newsletters, and social media.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales tools based on company and product messaging.
  • Create content that educates target audiences about the importance of GHG monitoring and the benefits of using our technology.
  • Work with internal marketing teams to integrate written content with visual design.
  • Develop clear, compelling messaging and translate it into sales tools.
  • Ensure content addresses key customer pain points and highlights the value of our solutions.
  • Oversee the content calendar for timely and consistent delivery across channels.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns and improve effectiveness based on performance metrics.
  • Develop content partnerships with industry influencers and media outlets to expand reach.
  • Monitor content performance and adjust strategies based on data and feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging content marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a technology or environmental sector.
  • Experience collaborating with product managers or technical teams to create targeted messaging.
  • Proven ability to create engaging, high-quality content across multiple formats.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and commitment to staying informed about GHG monitoring and climate change issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in the sustainability, environmental, or clean tech industries.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience writing communication plans and working with press.
