About the position

The Marketing Content Manager at Berkley Accident & Health is responsible for hands-on content creation, strategic thinking, and project management. This role requires an experienced writer and project manager who can create compelling content that resonates with various audiences, including emails, newsletters, product sell sheets, and presentations. The position aims to drive awareness of Berkley Accident & Health as a market leader and ensure effective positioning of health products in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Drive awareness of Berkley Accident and Health as a market leader and ensure effective positioning of health products in the marketplace.
  • Develop a wide range of high-quality and engaging content, including product sell sheets, blog articles, white papers, customer success stories, newsletters, webinar promotions, presentations, and press releases.
  • Manage short and long-term communication projects, including product enhancements, company newsletters, new sales tools, and events.
  • Translate complex insurance concepts into clear, concise language accessible to various business audiences.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines, voice, and style in all content.
  • Support sales and internal events by writing pre- and post-event emails, presentations, and follow-up surveys.
  • Provide sales enablement tools to empower the sales team in communicating strengths effectively.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other functional areas to ensure alignment of marketing content with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the content lifecycle for marketing materials, including creation, approval, retirement, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communication, writing, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5-10+ years of copywriting or content marketing experience in a B2B setting.
  • Strong preference for experience in an insurance carrier, brokerage, employee benefits, financial services, or healthcare company.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with writing samples available upon request.
  • Experience in writing B2B marketing materials such as newsletters, product sell sheets, presentations, blog articles, and press releases.
  • Ability to translate complex information into compelling stories for various audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining flexible and meeting deadlines.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to company events as needed.
