About the position

The Marketing Content Specialist at Delaware County Community College (DCCC) plays a crucial role in the Marketing & Communications team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the college's website content while providing copywriting and content writing support across various media. This position collaborates closely with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications and the Web Services team to ensure that all content aligns with the college's strategic priorities and brand standards. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity and technical skills, with a strong emphasis on effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update website content in collaboration with academic divisions and departments.
  • Ensure web content adheres to DCCC brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Oversee the College's dashboard for website content updates.
  • Write engaging copy for various media, including digital ads and social media posts.
  • Monitor web analytics for compliance and SEO optimization.
  • Provide training to content authors on using Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Assist with the creation of webpages and webforms for events and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the College's web style guide and ensure brand compliance.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience with Drupal, WordPress, or similar content management systems.
  • Strong writing, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of cultural and linguistic differences.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of web design best practices.
  • Familiarity with SEO strategies.
