About the position

The Marketing Content Strategist and Project Manager at Wright State University is responsible for assisting campus partners in developing and executing marketing and communication strategies aimed at recruitment and retention. This role involves consulting with various stakeholders to align project objectives with the university's broader goals, ensuring effective communication across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

  • Direct projects while meeting multiple deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and maintain quality control.
  • Work directly with clients to develop project budgets, schedules, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Establish project timelines and communicate them clearly to all collaborators to ensure deadlines and project goals are met.
  • Utilize project management tools to facilitate collaboration with marketing team members.
  • Provide strategic guidance in the formation of advertising and communications plans.
  • Assist in the creative process for various publications, communications, advertising, or web projects.
  • Identify alternative channels for targeted communication of key marketing messages.
  • Create compelling marketing copy across multiple mediums that communicates client and university objectives effectively.
  • Evaluate copy against current brand and campaign standards.
  • Ensure the quality of marketing copy through iterative changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, or a related field.
  • 3 years of marketing and project management experience, including experience building strategic marketing and/or communications plans.
  • 3 years of demonstrated writing experience across all communication channels, including websites, email marketing, social media, and print marketing materials.
  • Demonstrated experience in a multi-client, multi-project environment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in marketing, English, business administration, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in higher education, specifically in enrollment management.
  • Writing to brand and campaign standards.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
