About the position

The Marketing Coordinator position at Angel Of The Winds Arena is a dynamic role that involves working closely with the Director of Marketing to promote the venue and its events. This position is essential for building and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners, ensuring that marketing efforts are effective and engaging. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in various aspects of marketing, including graphic design, advertising, interactive media, ticketing analysis, promotions, public relations, and grassroots marketing efforts for assigned events. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will support event day activities, which may include pre-event promotions, on-site media interactions, and meet-and-greet opportunities. The coordinator will also be responsible for preparing written agreements, assisting in the development of advertising programs, and preparing monthly marketing reports. A significant part of the job involves managing digital marketing efforts across various social media platforms, coordinating marketing initiatives with promoters and local media, and generating creative ideas to attract new events and promote existing ones. The position requires a proactive approach to marketing, with responsibilities that include managing grassroots marketing efforts, updating the venue's website and digital displays, and overseeing the CyberClub database. The Marketing Coordinator will also be involved in recruiting and managing interns or part-time staff, developing marketing plans, and performing graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite. This role is crucial for enhancing the visibility and appeal of the Everett Community Ice Rink and ensuring successful marketing campaigns for all events.

Responsibilities

  • Support event day activities including pre-event promotions, meet and greets, and media interactions.
  • Prepare written letters of agreements including negotiated terms.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing in developing and coordinating event and facility advertising programs.
  • Prepare monthly corporate marketing reports and participate in conference calls with other OVG entities.
  • Prepare reports on public relations progress, marketing efforts, ticketing analysis, and event recaps.
  • Manage day-to-day digital marketing programs across various social media platforms.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts between promoters, artist management, and local media.
  • Assist with pitching stories, writing press releases, and creating public relations events.
  • Manage grassroots marketing efforts including poster distribution and community appearances.
  • Generate creative ideas to attract new events and promote booked events.
  • Update the website, marquee, and in-arena digital displays.
  • Manage the CyberClub database and evaluate email campaigns.
  • Manage after-event surveys and recommend customer service follow-ups.
  • Develop new marketing programs to maximize ticket sales.
  • Recruit and manage student interns and part-time marketing staff.
  • Participate in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions.
  • Perform graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Interact with other departments on various projects.
  • Lead marketing efforts for the Everett Community Ice Rink.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality/Sports Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and interest in marketing and advertising functions.
  • Intermediate to strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of branding concepts.
  • Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Photography experience preferred.
  • Previous event or entertainment marketing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and event days as assigned.
  • Team player who is creative and a proactive problem solver.
