About the position

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all marketing activities for the property, ensuring that they align with the company's guidelines and standards. This role involves assisting the General Manager (GM) in preparing the marketing component of the annual operating budget, which is crucial for effective financial planning and resource allocation. The Marketing Coordinator will ensure that all local marketing activities are consistent with corporate guidelines, maintaining the integrity of the brand and its messaging in the community. In addition to budget preparation, the Marketing Coordinator will recommend marketing activities to the GM and the corporate marketing department, providing insights and strategies that can enhance the property's visibility and engagement with the local community. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all facility marketing and promotional materials are free from discrimination and adhere to the company's Diversity and Community Relations Policy, promoting an inclusive environment. The position also requires the preparation of necessary purchasing requests to maintain an appropriate supply inventory for marketing initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for compiling monthly reports to the corporate marketing department, detailing all relevant activities along with a comprehensive cost/benefit analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies. Maintaining a local database in accordance with company policy is another critical responsibility, as is monitoring local social media channels for comments about the facility. The Marketing Coordinator will prepare responses to these comments, ensuring that the facility maintains a positive online presence. Additionally, the role involves recommending advertising strategies for local media, including social media platforms, to the GM and corporate marketing department. Finally, the Marketing Coordinator will plan, prepare, and execute all facility marketing initiatives, such as prize draws, giveaways, and other property events, to engage the community and enhance the property's reputation. This position may also involve performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the marketing team and the property.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all marketing activities for the property in line with company guidelines.
  • Assist GM in preparing the marketing component of the annual operating budget.
  • Ensure all local marketing activities are consistent with corporate guidelines and standards.
  • Recommend marketing activities to GM and corporate marketing department.
  • Ensure all facility, marketing and promotional materials are discrimination free and in line with the company's Diversity and Community Relations Policy.
  • Prepare necessary purchasing requests to ensure appropriate supply inventory.
  • Provide monthly reports to corporate marketing department of all relevant activities with detailed cost/benefit analysis.
  • Maintain local database consistent with company policy.
  • Monitor all local social media for comments about the facility and prepare a response.
