About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Palms Casino Resort plays a vital role in supporting the Marketing Department by handling various administrative tasks and assisting with marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Hospitality, this position involves a range of responsibilities that include marketing and financial reporting, invoicing, scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing phone communications. The Marketing Coordinator will also be instrumental in coordinating marketing projects and supporting the development, execution, and monitoring of various marketing campaigns, including email, digital, social media, and content marketing. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will support the Hotel Marketing department's initiatives by planning, executing, and tracking marketing programs. This includes managing relationships with external vendors to ensure the timely and high-quality execution of marketing programs. The coordinator will evaluate and monitor campaign performance by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports. Additionally, the role involves facilitating hotel marketing promotions, conducting ROI analysis, and ensuring compliance with general office procedures. The Marketing Coordinator will also be responsible for creating, proofreading, and editing marketing copy to ensure consistency across various channels. This position requires strong organizational and project management skills, as well as a high level of creativity and the ability to work independently. The coordinator will also assist in maintaining an accurate filing and reporting system for all vendors and partners, and will be involved in scheduling appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing incoming calls. Overall, this position is essential for the smooth operation of the marketing department and the successful execution of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing Department with day-to-day administrative duties.
  • Support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, and content marketing.
  • Develop and manage images, content, and video for marketing programs.
  • Create, proofread, and edit copies for various marketing channels.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for timely execution of marketing programs.
  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance by analyzing key metrics and creating reports.
  • Facilitate hotel marketing promotions, including ROI analysis and creative development.
  • Work with Hotel Sales to create and deploy marketing emails to specified databases.
  • Review and route creative approval of partner emails and promotional collateral.
  • Maintain an accurate filing, reporting, and invoicing system for all vendors and partners.
  • Prepare and audit documents and reports for the management team.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings with vendors and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Answer, screen, and direct all incoming calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, travel, or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • High level of creativity and self-starter attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong desire to learn.
