The Nothing Bundt Cakes Marketing Coordinator/Guest Service Representative is a full-time position that serves as the face of the bakery to the public. This role is crucial in marketing the cakes to community businesses and achieving the ambitious goal of reaching 10,000 mouths per quarter through strategic marketing efforts. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for all outside marketing initiatives, including fundraising, events, and handling donation requests. In addition to marketing duties, the Coordinator will assist the Manager as a Joy Creator, which involves working as a sales associate and crafting in the bakery when necessary. Marketing to businesses is the core driver of the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand, and this position will require cold calling in person to establish connections with local businesses. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Frosting Team to prepare marketing cakes for the next day and will need to familiarize themselves with holiday schedules to place orders accordingly. A key part of the role involves engaging with potential clients by introducing themselves, providing free samples, and using marketing materials to describe the products and services offered by Nothing Bundt Cakes. The Coordinator will also be responsible for collecting business cards and email addresses, signing up businesses for the eClub and App, and following up with emails while entering information into a tracker spreadsheet. They will discuss the Birthday Program with businesses and work to win over gatekeepers to gain access to decision-makers within organizations. Understanding the internal, external, and gifting events of businesses will be essential to secure commitments for both external and internal events. Daily feedback will be provided to the Manager and Owner, and the hours will depend on marketing and event schedules, with a requirement to be available on weekends. This position offers a casual work environment, allowing for T-shirts and sneakers with black pants (not leggings). The expected work hours are between 30-35 hours per week, with compensation ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
