About the position

The Marketing Coordinator I position at Members First Credit Union is designed for an individual who is passionate about marketing and brand awareness. This role involves developing and implementing marketing initiatives, managing website content, and creating engaging email campaigns. The coordinator will work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration with independent work, and will play a key role in promoting the credit union's mission of encouraging a better tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, track, and optimize marketing initiatives to build brand awareness.
  • Manage website content and ensure it is up-to-date and engaging.
  • Build and manage email campaigns and marketing automation for member journey mapping.
  • Support content creation, including writing, designing, and editing marketing materials.
  • Create social media content to promote brand awareness and engage with members.
  • Monitor social media accounts and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage lobby TV screens and on-hold phone messages.
  • Conduct marketing research as needed.
  • Design print and digital content using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
  • Capture authentic imagery for marketing materials and maintain a visual content library.
  • Manage targeted product campaigns, including planning, writing, and design.
  • Create and update website content, including rate changes.
  • Develop content for the M1 Blog to engage members and communities.
  • Assist with youth program content development.
  • Participate in outreach events to be a visible presence in the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of two to three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Suite/Canva.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and website content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven project management abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in social media management.
  • Comfortable with public presentations.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
