About the position

PJ Cheese, Inc. is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator Intern. This position is designed to transform classroom knowledge into real-world marketing skills while contributing to the success of our local Papa John's Pizza restaurants. As one of the largest franchisees of the Papa John's brand, PJ Cheese, Inc. has been a staple in the Richmond and Charlottesville areas since 1992, operating 20 restaurants. Our marketing department, though small, plays a crucial role in driving community engagement through sponsorships, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives. The primary responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator Intern is to assist in building and maintaining community partnerships that drive positive revenue streams to our restaurants. This internship will provide hands-on experience in various marketing tasks, including sales and data entry components. Over the course of the 12-week paid internship program, candidates will gain exposure to business marketing tasks, develop leadership skills, and participate in on-the-job training. Interns will also have the opportunity to engage with Business-to-Business and Non-Profit companies, enhancing their analysis and data tracking skills. Our commitment to interns includes a competitive compensation of $3800+ for successful completion of the program, with biweekly payments based on a minimum hours requirement. Interns will be involved in relationship marketing, sports marketing sponsorships, and social media advertising, all of which are vital to our business success. Additionally, there is potential for continued renewal of the internship for up to one year, contingent on positive performance.
