About the position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Marketing Coordinator for their Financial Services National Production Department. This role is crucial in overseeing and assisting with the implementation of marketing activities across all regions. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for managing communications, creating collateral materials, coordinating advertising efforts, and making necessary website changes and promotions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage-specific products and services, as well as compliance requirements, to effectively support the marketing initiatives of the company. In this position, the Marketing Coordinator will review all incoming marketing requests and collaborate with various branches to gather any missing or additional information, documentation, or approvals that may be required. They will assign marketing requests to the appropriate marketing team members based on the requirements and volume of requests. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for purchasing and distributing promotional items, ensuring that all business is conducted in a professional manner to enhance customer service and increase the goodwill and profitability of D.R. Horton. The role also includes assisting in the review and proofreading of all advertising materials, supporting sales staff with marketing plans and inquiries, and helping marketing team members collect additional information from branches or other internal departments. The Marketing Coordinator will assist branches with questions regarding the Marketing Department, marketing procedures, or training, and will also play a role in training branches on marketing best practices or new tools and platforms. This position may require the ability to work overtime and travel overnight as needed, with a focus on maintaining regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Review all incoming marketing requests.
  • Work with branches to collect any missing or additional information, documentation, or approvals that may be required.
  • Assign marketing requests to appropriate marketing team members based on requirements and volume.
  • Purchase and distribute promotional items.
  • Become familiar with mortgage specific products and services, licensing, disclosure, and any other compliance requirements.
  • Conduct all business in a professional manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
  • Assist in reviewing and proofreading all advertising materials.
  • Assist sales staff with marketing plans and questions.
  • Assist marketing team members with collecting additional information from branches or other internal company departments.
  • Assist branches with questions regarding the Marketing Department in general, marketing procedures, or training.
  • Assist in training branches on marketing best practices or new tools/platforms.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via D.R. Horton applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
