This position, under the direction of the Director of Sector Marketing, will work closely with firm lawyers and other marketing team members to support select marketing and business development activities for DLA Piper's sector initiatives in the US. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong critical thinking skills, capable of partnering with various teams to achieve business objectives. This role can be performed remotely, although candidates may occasionally need to visit the local office as required. The responsibilities of this position include collaborating with the Marketing Manager team on strategic client growth projects, pitches, RFPs, content development, experience tracking, directory submissions, and conducting research to demonstrate the firm's expertise to clients. The role will support sectors across the United States and may assist with other projects as needed. Key client growth initiatives such as Key Clients, Client Feedback, and Intersections will be part of the responsibilities. The candidate will conduct and coordinate research on clients, filings, trends, and law firm competitors to help position the practice/sector group effectively in pitches and proposals. Additionally, the role involves compiling presentations, key metrics, and reports for leadership, participating in lawyer meetings, and utilizing the Marketing Resource System (MRS) for workflow tracking and CRM reporting. The ideal candidate should possess high energy, savvy marketing skills, strong writing and presentation abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, communication skills, data analysis capabilities, and a client service orientation are essential. The Marketing team at DLA Piper is highly collaborative, requiring the ability to quickly re-prioritize as demands and deadlines change. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also necessary.
