About the position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Orange, California. This position is integral to our marketing efforts and requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks effectively. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and writing various marketing materials, including proposals, qualifications, letters, reports, presentations, brochures, and award submittals. This role involves facilitating and coordinating kick-off meetings and proposal production activities, ensuring that all marketing communications are clear, concise, and tailored to our target audiences. In addition to writing and editing, the Marketing Coordinator will coordinate with consultant firms to gather marketing materials and facilitate teaming efforts. Strong communication skills are essential, as this position requires interaction with professionals, project managers, and technical staff across the organization. The coordinator will also conduct marketing database queries, input data, and maintain the accuracy of marketing information on an ongoing basis. Special projects, such as organizing conferences, open houses, and client events, will also fall under the purview of this role. The ability to interview subject matter experts and write or edit technical content is crucial for effectively conveying our services and expertise. This is not a remote position, and the selected candidate should be willing to travel as needed. Responsibilities

  • Prepare/write proposals, qualifications, letters, reports, presentations, brochures, award submittals, and other communications.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and participate in kick-off meetings and proposal production activities.
  • Coordinate with consultant firms for teaming and gathering marketing materials.
  • Communicate and interact with professionals, project managers, and technical staff.
  • Conduct marketing database queries as well as input data and maintain accuracy of data on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional consulting service experience is required; A/E/C industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Education, or other relevant major.
  • Strong technical writing, editing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Adobe InDesign.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.
