About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Whitaker Bank Corp will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department. This position involves collaborating closely with the Marketing Director to develop and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar across various platforms. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring the brand's presence on social media, executing campaigns to enhance content reach, and ensuring a consistent online presence. This includes developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms and collaborating with the Graphic Designer as needed to maintain brand voice standards across all channels. In addition to social media management, the Marketing Coordinator will update content on the company website as necessary and assist in coordinating content creation and other marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with brand standards. The role also requires attending company event activations to support brand activation efforts, researching and gathering pricing for branded promotional items, and collaborating with the marketing team to plan and execute on-site event activations. Administrative functions are also a key part of this role, including organizing meetings, maintaining project schedules, and coordinating with external vendors to ensure smooth campaign execution. The Marketing Coordinator will monitor and track industry trends and competitor activities, providing reports on findings. The position requires adherence to the bank's policies and procedures, including compliance with state and federal banking laws, and a commitment to ethical conduct and organizational values. The incumbent must also ensure a safe working environment and report any potentially unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to develop and maintain a social media calendar across multiple channels.
  • Monitor brand presence on social media platforms.
  • Execute social media campaigns to enhance content reach and maintain a consistent online presence.
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms; collaborate with Graphic Designer as needed.
  • Maintain brand voice standards across all platforms.
  • Update content on the company website as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating content creation and other marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Attend company event activations as needed to support brand activation.
  • Research, gather pricing, and provide recommendations on branded promotional items and event activation items.

  • Provide reporting on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Follow and provide ideas for appropriate processes and systems to ensure work is created, updated, maintained, and completed effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in advertising, communications, or closely related fields.
  • Degree in marketing, integrated strategic communications, graphic design, etc.
  • Fluent in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta Business).
  • Experience working event activations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Photography skills highly preferred.
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Digital advertising knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments, as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.
