The coordinator will provide essential support to properties within the region, facilitating the successful implementation of marketing plans tailored to each hotel's unique business needs. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will assist Account Managers and Destination Managers in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that leverage Marriott's extensive marketing engine. A key aspect of the position involves relaying a consistent marketing message from Marriott International, Loyalty, and Brand to the property level, while also addressing the specific requirements of each hotel in the manager's portfolio. The coordinator is expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, and ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to their manager. Effective communication is essential, as the coordinator will need to speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues is vital, as the coordinator will support the team in reaching common goals and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards is also a critical component of this role. The position may require physical activity, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance, as well as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Brand, Marketing and Digital organization on implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Execute marketing/digital tactics as assigned based on key initiatives and strategies.
  • Verify that all activities align with marketing functions and provide necessary support to properties.
  • Assist Account Managers and Destination Managers in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Relay a consistent marketing message from Marriott International to the property level.
  • Address the unique business needs for each hotel in the manager's portfolio.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
