About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown is responsible for leading print and digital marketing initiatives to enhance the hotel's visibility and engagement. This role involves supporting the sales team with various administrative tasks while managing marketing communications, social media campaigns, and content creation for the hotel's online presence.

Responsibilities

  • Champion print and digital marketing efforts for the hotel.
  • Provide administrative support with a focus on marketing (60%), sales (30%), and reservations (10%).
  • Conduct eCommerce and website performance reporting.
  • Create and manage an email database.
  • Coordinate hotel photo shoots and organize digital image assets.
  • Execute online email and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with monthly email deployment and responses.
  • Monitor social media engagement and manage online reputation.
  • Assist in planning and managing the internet marketing budget and ongoing campaigns.
  • Support the Revenue team with rooming lists and reservations as needed.
  • Create content for press releases, collateral, web copy, and social media.
  • Liaise with GMCVB to host prequalified influencers for media press.
  • Assist with sales reporting, prospecting, and office phone coverage.
  • Create and post regular monthly social media content across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Respond to online reviews on various platforms including Yelp and TripAdvisor.
  • Assist Sales Managers with quote management and client receptions.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with graphic design and media community management.
  • Minimum of two years of hotel hospitality experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Diligent work habits with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and energetic personality.
  • Experience in content management and web analytics.
  • Ability to independently organize and complete multiple tasks.

  • Experience in social media management and engagement strategies.
  • Knowledge of hotel marketing best practices.
