About the position

As a Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our rapidly expanding company, working closely with the Marketing Manager to implement various marketing strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in cannabis marketing, collaborating with a talented team and contributing to the development of industry-leading brands and products. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of marketing disciplines, including social media management, retail and sales support, innovation initiatives, and event planning. In this role, you will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns from inception to execution. This includes setting clear objectives, creating detailed timelines, and ensuring that all campaigns are launched successfully. You will also be tasked with content creation, where you will develop engaging materials for our websites and social media platforms, including articles, posts, and videos that resonate with our audience. Data analysis will be a key component of your responsibilities, as you will gather and track relevant data to report on campaign performance and market trends. Conducting market research to identify new opportunities for our brands will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will coordinate promotional activities, manage social media accounts, and handle various administrative tasks such as budget management and scheduling meetings. Familiarity with cannabis industry technology, such as AlpineIQ, Sparkplug, and Seed Talent, will be considered a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the marketing manager to plan, execute, and track campaigns, including setting objectives and creating timelines.
  • Developing and managing content for websites and social media platforms, such as articles, posts, and videos.
  • Gathering and tracking data, and reporting on it to upper management.
  • Conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities for the brands.
  • Coordinating promotional activities, such as event management and launching sparkplug incentives.
  • Helping manage social media accounts and engagement.
  • Managing budgets, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files and databases (HubSpot).

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in marketing.
  • Basic understanding of social media channels.
  • Strong attention to detail and aesthetics pertaining to brand assets.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to foster/maintain relationships across multiple businesses and organizations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with cannabis industry technology such as AlpineIQ, Sparkplug, and Seed Talent.
