About the position

The Marketing Coordinator is a vital member of the Project Development team at Hensel Phelps, tasked with enhancing the company's visibility and presence in the region through strategic client development, marketing outreach, and project procurement efforts. This role is designed for marketing professionals who are enthusiastic and versatile, as it encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. The Marketing Coordinator will exercise judgment, discretion, and creativity in crafting and designing proposal content, which involves a thorough understanding and interpretation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). Each deliverable produced is crucial for securing new business opportunities for the company. In addition to proposal development, the Marketing Coordinator will engage in creating and designing various marketing collateral, including content for social media platforms, coordinating events, and visiting job sites to document project milestones. The role also includes supporting community volunteer initiatives, thereby fostering a positive company image and community relations. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with senior technical staff to ensure that all marketing materials are not only accurate and timely but also visually appealing and of high quality. This position is integral to the overall strategic communications planning and implementation at Hensel Phelps, contributing to the company's mission of delivering excellence in construction services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and general qualification efforts, ensuring accuracy and visual appeal of proposals.
  • Create marketing materials including informational documents, qualification packages, advertisements, displays, and brochures.
  • Update company-wide databases with project and proposal information, including site visits for data collection.
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff to develop, design, and execute proposal materials, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
  • Design and develop promotional materials and advertisements for various clients and publications.
  • Organize and maintain project and staff data, including photography, to ensure all assets are current.
  • Develop award submittals and coordinate public relations initiatives, including social media content.

Requirements

  • BA degree in marketing or a related field of study.
  • 4 years of marketing experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient research skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
