About the position

The Corporate Marketing Coordinator at Merakey will support the Director of Communications and the VP of Marketing and Communications by creating various communications and media content, conducting market research, planning events, managing social media content, and assisting with administrative and project management tasks. This role is essential in helping Merakey achieve its strategic marketing goals while working collaboratively with the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing plans for new and existing markets including local advertising, social media, direct mail and email, community events, press and public relations.
  • Assist in drafting messages for employees, the CEO and other executives, the annual report, scripts for videos, and marketing materials.
  • Work with Divisional Representatives and Corporate Staff to plan and execute marketing and special events.
  • Work with the Social Media Marketing Manager to develop and post content on Merakey's social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with Merakey website designers to keep website content current.
  • Conduct competitor, payer, and demographic research for new and existing markets.
  • Interface with marketing vendors, including direct mail suppliers and advertising companies in response to requests for targeted marketing activities.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets for press mentions, professional publications, and conference presentations.
  • Construct internal and external surveys and focus group parameters.
  • Assist with the purchase order and check request process for ordering collateral marketing materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • One to three years of experience conducting market/demographic research, developing marketing materials, writing and editing communications for a range of different audiences, and developing social media content.
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office vital and knowledge of Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Excellent communication, time management and analytical skills
