About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at DOWL plays a crucial role in supporting marketing proposals, projects, and services within a professional services consulting firm. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic marketing professional eager to develop new skills while collaborating with a multi-state team of marketers, engineers, and clients. The role involves guiding project managers on marketing best practices, managing proposal planning, and coordinating marketing efforts to deliver high-quality proposals for diverse projects in the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide project managers and technical staff on marketing and business development best practices.
  • Oversee qualifications-based proposal planning and assist with strategy.
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality engineering, environmental, planning, and related proposals.
  • Develop schedules and draft outlines, resumes, and past experience write-ups in collaboration with project managers.
  • Coordinate proposal writing efforts with engineering/planning teams.
  • Work with graphics staff to develop engaging graphics for proposals and marketing materials.
  • Write, edit, proof, produce, and deliver proposals with assistance from engineering/planning staff.
  • Review subscription services for A/E requests for proposals and manage distribution.
  • Maintain database information on staff, projects, clients, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with project managers to update sales pipeline information in Deltek.
  • Track submitted proposals, report on results, and assist with debriefings.
  • Prepare Statements of Qualifications.
  • Coordinate trade show exhibits and participate in events as necessary.
  • Assist in community organization involvement and events.
  • Perform additional duties such as presentations, marketing collateral, and data entry.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from a four-year college or university and two years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Two years of related A/E/C and writing experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Proficient in writing proposals, qualification packages, reports, and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret various instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
  • Typing ability of at least 40 words per minute.
