About the position

Miller Johnson, one of Michigan's largest full-service law firms, is seeking a full-time Practice Group Marketing Coordinator. This role is essential in coordinating marketing activities for practice groups to engage with external contacts, enhancing the firm's visibility and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Create, write, and facilitate updates to marketing and business development materials, including proposals, brochures, social media content, and media releases.
  • Develop and coordinate the preparation of firm proposals, collaborating with the director of marketing and key attorneys.
  • Outline, write, and interact with attorneys to develop presentations for marketing events.
  • Manage all aspects of client events, including venue selection, invitations, and on-site management.
  • Maintain the Contact Relationship Management (CRM) System to track client attendance at events and workshops.
  • Coordinate advertising requests for practice groups and support advertising planning and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or public relations preferred.
  • Public relations and communications experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Photoshop, and CRM systems.
  • Exceptional client service skills, discretion, and judgment to ensure client confidentiality.
  • Ability to think creatively and implement proactive solutions.
  • Flexible and collaborative in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event management and coordination.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools.
