About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Salish Lodge & Spa plays a crucial role in supporting the marketing efforts of the lodge, focusing on enhancing brand awareness and engagement through social media and digital marketing strategies. This position involves content creation, community management, analytics, and collaboration on multi-channel marketing initiatives, all aimed at creating exceptional experiences for guests and driving traffic to the lodge's website.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as marketing support for Salish Lodge & Spa, reporting to the marketing manager.
  • Manage Salish Lodge & Spa's social media strategy to enhance brand awareness and engage the audience.
  • Maintain and enhance Salish Lodge & Spa's high-end, luxury brand voice across all social media channels.
  • Develop engaging and original content for various platforms, including text, images, and videos.
  • Schedule and manage photo/video shoots to create professional digital assets.
  • Plan and execute an editorial calendar of professional posts Monday through Friday.
  • Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers across social media channels.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to evaluate the success of social media campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Support multi-channel marketing initiatives, including website content and email marketing.
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of annual marketing plans and budgets.
  • Attend regular marketing meetings, develop agendas, and take notes.
  • Review and proofread marketing content created by other team members.
  • Manage and maintain marketing files.
  • Perform other duties and administrative work as assigned.

Requirements

  • A university degree in marketing or business-related discipline with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • General knowledge of marketing tools and techniques, particularly digital marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write, proofread, and edit content.
  • Experience in photography, both still and video.
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Solid personal management skills, including time management and planning.
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with graphic design software.
  • Familiarity with hospitality marketing.
