About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs plays a crucial role in supporting the execution of promotional events and marketing initiatives. This entry-level position involves coordinating various marketing activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementation and execution of promotional events, drawings, tournaments, giveaways and offers.
• Assists with the set up and display of advertising and promotional items.
• Coordinates accommodations for cross-property visitors and vendors.
• Answers phone calls and proactively assists customers (internal and external) with their inquiries.
• Documents participation, notifies winners and coordinates prize awards.
• Accurately completes paperwork including promotional paperwork, envelope stuffing, filing, data entry, event recaps, copying and scanning.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Adheres to all company, state, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of High School Diploma with one (1) year of related experience, preferably in Marketing, special events/promotions or related industry.
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
