About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Palisades Tahoe will play a vital role in the marketing team, focusing on digital communications across the resort's customer relationship management (CRM) and content management systems (CMS). This position is essential for developing and executing email marketing campaigns that align with business objectives and goals. The coordinator will manage email marketing calendars to ensure timely delivery of campaigns, oversee subscriber lists and segmentations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date data. Analyzing and reporting on email campaign performance will also be a key responsibility, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. In addition to email marketing, the coordinator will assist in updating website and app content and participate in blog content creation. This role requires interaction with various departments across the resort, making it ideal for a creative individual with strong writing skills and an eye for detail. A passion for the outdoors and snow sports is also essential, as the coordinator will be contributing to marketing efforts that resonate with the resort's audience. The position requires a proactive approach to digital marketing, including gathering content and key details for effective audience engagement. The coordinator will support campaign needs and make updates across digital platforms, including the website, blog, chatbot, email, and mobile app. Ensuring compliance with marketing regulations and best practices, such as digital accessibility standards and data protection laws, is also a critical aspect of the role. The Marketing Coordinator will participate in creative brainstorming sessions, assist with reporting on campaign performance, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization. Collaboration with internal stakeholders will be necessary to support various marketing and business initiatives, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to support business objectives and goals.
  • Create and manage email marketing calendars to ensure timely delivery of campaigns.
  • Manage subscriber lists and segmentations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Analyze and report on email campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Update website/app content and participate in blog content creation.
  • Gather content and key details for the creation and distribution of engaging content.
  • Support campaign needs and make updates across digital mediums including website, blog, chatbot, email, and mobile app.
  • Proof, test, and implement feedback to ensure accurate execution of links, content, and assets across platforms.
  • Assist in audience building and segmentation to support targeting strategies utilizing the customer database.
  • Ensure compliance with marketing regulations and best practices, including digital accessibility standards, PII protection, SEO, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming, branding, and strategy sessions.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with other marketing and business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing or communications.
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with content creation and development.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate respectfully with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a genuine interest in marketing communications.
  • Flexibility of schedule and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability level.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and/or CSS.
  • Quantitative skills and familiarity with web analytics tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Photoshop is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn new Content Management Systems and consumer email platforms.
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS and/or WordPress is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of graphic design, SEO, HTML & CSS, and Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics are a plus.
  • Experience working with an Email Service Provider (ESP), specifically Acoustic.
  • Familiarity with and passion for the ski resort environment, especially the Palisades Tahoe experience.
