About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at the U.S. National Whitewater Center is responsible for executing the communication of the Whitewater brand across various marketing channels. This full-time position focuses on coordinating the distribution, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on owned, paid, and earned media. The role requires collaboration with the marketing team and other departments to tailor marketing plans, analyze campaign performance, and manage social media presence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, manage, and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in developing integrated marketing plans for campaigns across multiple consumer touchpoints.
  • Partner with internal teams to tailor marketing plans to meet specific needs.
  • Support the development of campaign briefs and coordinate project milestones.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with brand partners and external vendors.
  • Analyze campaign performance to ensure goals and KPIs are met.
  • Coordinate all paid advertising placements for the Whitewater brand.
  • Identify and execute earned media opportunities with various platforms and influencers.
  • Manage Whitewater's social and community presence on social media.
  • Coordinate media, photography, and film coverage of Whitewater locations.
  • Research paid and earned media trends to stay current with industry standards.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the outdoor industry to align marketing efforts with the brand.
  • Create trackable and data-driven recaps and reports for marketing efforts.
  • Support other marketing projects including grassroots and community marketing efforts.
  • Lead the planning and execution of marketing deliverables and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with vendors to fulfill marketing collateral and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years relevant marketing experience.
  • Strong critical analysis skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
