Join the US Foods team, a leader in the foodservice industry, where you will play a crucial role in supporting marketing efforts for non-hub markets within an area. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to build a career in a dynamic environment. You will work closely with the Area Marketing Manager (AMM) to develop and execute local marketing strategies that align with national objectives. Your responsibilities will include leading the execution of various marketing activities such as local sales meetings, customer events, product training sessions, and vendor/broker activities. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all marketing communications and events are executed effectively and in alignment with the annual marketing plan. In this position, you will be responsible for developing tactics that support the center and area initiatives, managing budgets for events and sponsorships, and overseeing the organization of marketing and sales activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales specialists and chefs, to deliver strategies that enhance brand awareness and strengthen market share. Your ability to understand local market trends and consumer behavior will be essential in crafting effective marketing campaigns. Additionally, you will serve as the primary communicator between non-hub and hub markets, ensuring timely and consistent correspondence. This role does not involve direct supervision of others, but it requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with various levels within the organization and with external vendors and customers. You will also be responsible for managing brand guidelines and ensuring compliance with established procedures. Your expertise in digital marketing and social media will be leveraged to expand the local market footprint, making this a vital position in the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing support to non-hub markets in alignment with national marketing objectives.
  • Develop tactics at non-hub markets that align with center and area initiatives.
  • Support Area Marketing Manager in day-to-day needs.
  • Help design, create, and execute marketing plays, managing spend on select events, meetings, sponsorships, and incentives.
  • Oversee marketing and sales activities by organizing and expediting objectives, presentations, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver center-led strategies that enhance brand awareness and market share.
  • Craft marketing deliverables and oversee distribution of marketing and sales materials.
  • Manage local market activities including meetings and conferences for attendees from multiple locations.
  • Understand local market trends and consumer behavior to strengthen campaign execution.
  • Act as the primary communicator between non-hub and hub markets, ensuring timely correspondence.
  • Manage brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Correspond with vendors and brokers to ensure compliance with established procedures and branding.
  • Interact with customers and vendors on local market activities as determined by the Area Marketing Manager.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related office experience.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures and standard office equipment.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working partnerships with internal and external resources.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Experience with content management and online marketing systems.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe InDesign.
  • Advanced internet aptitude strongly desired.
