About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Thompson Hotels is a dynamic role designed for a creative and motivated individual eager to advance their marketing career. This position is pivotal in supporting the hotel’s marketing initiatives, particularly in the areas of hotel activation programming and Food and Beverage Marketing. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, contributing to various marketing strategies and administrative functions that promote the hotel’s brand and offerings. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will liaise with marketing and public relations agencies to generate content for social media and press opportunities, ensuring that the hotel’s messaging is consistent and engaging. The coordinator will also assist in preparing for influencer and media visits, which are crucial for enhancing the hotel’s visibility and reputation in the competitive Seattle market. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, collection, production, supervision, and follow-up of promotions and hotel activations, playing a key role in the execution of marketing campaigns. The position requires a blend of creativity and organizational skills, as the Marketing Coordinator will support the hotel in day-to-day administrative tasks while also being involved in special events and promotions. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, able to work independently, and enjoys collaborating with a team to achieve marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Marketing and Public Relation agencies to supply content for Social Media and Press opportunities
  • Assist with the preparation of influencer and media visits
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, collection, production, supervision and follow-up of promotions and hotel activations
  • Support hotel in day to day administrative tasks as needed to promote the hotel.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • One-year Marketing experience
  • Intimate knowledge of the Seattle Region and connections with various aspects of the local culture
  • 1-3 years administrative office experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva
  • Effective verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Effective customer service skills for interaction with customers and co-workers
  • Flexible and able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Active involvement with social channels, event and special occasion coordination a plus
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well organized with a customer-oriented approach
