About the position

The Marketing Coordinator will be a vital member of the Solve-Marketing and Communications Team at MIT, dedicated to enhancing awareness of Solve's mission and its impact on global challenges. This role involves supporting a variety of projects with a strong emphasis on data-driven content creation across all platforms associated with Solve. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in building and engaging a diverse community of impact leaders by executing and assisting in the development of digital campaigns that strategically engage Solve's varied constituency. In this position, the Marketing Coordinator will manage and grow Solve's social media accounts, ensuring that all content, including social media posts, emails, and articles, is scheduled effectively within HubSpot. The role also includes generating original content for the organization's newsletters, CrowdSolve and the Marketplace, and providing input into challenge promotion communications in collaboration with global challenges team leads and the digital marketing manager. The Marketing Coordinator will liaise with the director of marketing and communications to oversee brand usage and trademark compliance, and will work closely with the events team on speaker research, outreach, and communications. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for writing comprehensive marketing communications, such as marketing emails, social media posts, advertisements, and speaker toolkits, aimed at driving event registration, attracting new audiences, and raising awareness before, during, and after events. The role also involves tracking, analyzing, and reporting on marketing and communications data, recommending improvements based on findings, ensuring that Solve's website is regularly updated, and leading or participating in ad-hoc projects as needed. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the team's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and assist with shaping digital campaigns that engage Solve's diverse constituency.
  • Manage and grow Solve's social media accounts.
  • Schedule all content (social, email, articles) within HubSpot.
  • Generate original content for organization newsletters, CrowdSolve and the Marketplace.
  • Provide input into challenge promotion communications with global challenges team leads and the digital marketing manager.
  • Liaise with the director of marketing and communications on brand usage and trademark oversight.
  • Work with the events team on speaker research, outreach, and communications.
  • Write comprehensive communications and marketing materials for events to drive registration and raise awareness.
  • Track, analyze, and report on data across marketing and communications, recommending improvements on content.
  • Ensure Solve's website is updated regularly.
  • Lead and/or participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Flexible approach to responsibilities and ability to plan work to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
