About the position

DEXSTA Federal Credit Union is seeking a Marketing Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in the effective operation of our marketing functions. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including business development, communication, community outreach, product and service promotions, and youth marketing, all aimed at achieving our organizational goals within an authorized budget. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing daily marketing functions, which include providing support for marketing promotions, distributing marketing materials, coordinating special events, and promoting the credit union's products and services to both current and potential members. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements, as well as adhere to state and federal laws and regulations. The individual will educate members on various credit union policies and procedures, working closely with different departments and vendors to implement and enhance products and services. The position requires the creation, management, and execution of all DEXSTA FCU brand collateral, including print, digital, social, electronic, and direct mail marketing pieces. The Marketing Coordinator will manage vendor relationships, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also designing visually appealing work that aligns with current design trends and established brand identity. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will coordinate and maintain youth marketing programs, manage community outreach projects, and prepare periodic reports reflecting departmental activity and effectiveness of programs. The role also involves website management, where the individual will refresh content for search engine optimization, monitor analytics, and ensure that digital properties are regularly updated. Social media management is another key aspect of this position, where the Marketing Coordinator will generate and share content, track the success of paid advertising, and engage with community members through various platforms. The position may require extended sitting, lifting, bending, and reaching, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A valid Driver's License is required, and the candidate must be bondable.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Educate members on various credit union policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.
  • Work with various departments and vendors to implement and enhance products and services.
  • Create, manage and execute all DEXSTA FCU brand collateral including print, digital, social, electronic and direct mail marketing pieces.
  • Manage vendor relationships regarding all collateral including digital.
  • Identify when vendor support is required for projects or tasks; select best vendor choice and manage relationship to maintain timeline and budget.
  • Design aesthetically appealing, functionally useful work that blends current design trends with established brand identity and standards.
  • Select and manage photos/images from stock photo service to ensure consistency to brand look and feel.
  • Coordinate, implement and maintain youth marketing programs.
  • Manage community outreach projects and programs.
  • Prepare periodic reports that reflect department activity, progress toward goal attainment and effectiveness of programs and promotions.
  • Prepare annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Provide marketing related support, presentations and employee education or training.
  • Refresh website content to ensure search engine optimization strategies; copyedit and proofread all site content.
  • Develop and implement search engine optimization strategies.
  • Review website statistics and monitor analytics using Google Analytics.
  • Report on web analytics and how to improve website traffic.
  • Assist in the development of databases, site mapping, interactive applets, and/or custom graphics.
  • Ensure SEO and digital properties are regularly updated with correct information and links.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content on social media platforms that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Research, generate, edit and publish paid advertising through different social media platforms.
  • Track success of paid ads with clicks, shares etc. through analytical reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field and/or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience and/or graphic design; experience with social media platforms; credit union or financial institution experience is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, spelling, proofreading skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills and time management needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and collect data.
