About the position

Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC) is a dynamic and growing firm that is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As a Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and producing high-quality RFQ/P responses and presentations that align with the needs of our staff and pursuit strategies. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about marketing and eager to contribute to the growth and expansion of LJC's presence and portfolio through intentional project pursuits and strong client relationships. In this collaborative environment, you will work closely with the marketing manager team and engage with colleagues across various disciplines within LJC and its parent company, Clayco. Your contributions will help ensure that our marketing efforts are effective and aligned with our brand identity. You will be responsible for producing proposals, qualifications, and presentations that are not only high-quality but also delivered on time. Additionally, you will collaborate with market leaders, technical staff, and consultants across different sectors to create compelling RFP/Q responses. Your role will also involve writing and updating project narratives and personnel resumes for marketing purposes, as well as maintaining the accuracy of our CRM and marketing resources. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various marketing initiatives, including award submissions and internal newsletters, while ensuring that LJC's brand is consistently represented across all marketing channels. This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach, as well as the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and produce high-quality, on-time proposals, qualifications, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with market leaders, technical and design staff, and consultants to produce RFP/Q responses.
  • Produce other marketing efforts, including award submissions and internal newsletters.
  • Write and update project narratives and personnel resumes for marketing purposes.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of CRM, Knowledge Management, and Marketing Drive.
  • Collaborate with designers, architects, and other professionals on various projects.
  • Maintain LJC brand across all marketing channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in design, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing within a professional service field, preferably in the built environment.
  • Experience with producing and responding to RFPs.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a creative environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Strong graphic design knowledge in layouts, typography, and marketing language.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Collaborative and proactive personality with excellent time management skills.
  • Conscientious problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
